Sept. 7th, 2017


 Students: This is a reminder that the following students need to bring their 3 boxes of kleenix to the HS Office: Alexis Ibarra, Ivan Trejo, Aaron Vazquez, Kenia Hermosillo, Esteban Ugarte, Marisela Freques, Danny Knelsen, Taylor Lacher, Valentine Villalobos & Brenton Welsh. Thanks!


Teacher’s & Coaches the concession sign-up sheet is located in the HS office.


Queen & King Candidates for Homecoming are: Hannah Brandl, Ebony Gutierrez, Arely Yanez, Evan Crotinger, Nathan Miller, & Ivan Trejo. Homecoming Representatives are: Freshmen-Manny Chavez & Ali Chanez, Sophomores-Kamryn Youmans &Tayber Elder, Juniors-Autumn Vasquez & Jaly Yanez. Pictures for the newspaper will be taken Tuesday morning Sept. 12th at 7:45 in front of the Library. The Parade will be held on
Friday, Sept. 15th students will begin lining up at 2:15ish and the Parade will start at 2:30.


Student’s the Homecoming sign-up sheet is in the HS office for out of school and out of town dates. All dates must be in High School, 19 years old or younger (JH students are not allowed to attend). All out of school dates will be checked to see if they are in good standing with their schools. The theme for homecoming will be Music Genres each HS class will have different genres.


The Junior High elected their class representatives yesterday and the first meeting was today. The Officers are: President - Grace Whitham, Vice-President - Karlyn Woelk, Secretary - RaeLynn Welsh.

Representatives are: 8th Grade: Jaci Lackey, Payton Walk, Jesus Martinez, 7th Grade: Jaxson Brandl,

Taylor Lacher, Titus Sherer, 6th Grade: Ian Tarman, Reagan Crotinger, Iliany Yanez. The group discussed the upcoming Anti-Bullying week Oct. 2 - Oct 7. The students are also doing something for Hurricane Harvey and the upcoming Hurricane Irma. Nothing was decided just yet.


JV Tennis will play at home on Thursday, Sept. 7th. Please dismiss the JV Tennis team at 1:00 and the meet will begin at 2:00.


Varsity Tennis will travel to Cimarron, Thursday, Sept. 7th, leaving at 10:15 a.m. and the meet will begin at 2:00.


JH Volleyball & Football teams will play at home against St. Francis. Please dismiss the Volleyball girls at 2:30 and the games will begin at 3:30 and dismiss the Football boys at 3:30 and the game will begin at 4:30.


RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE is Thursday from 11:30-4:00pm. Anyone age 16 and over is able to donate blood with parent consent. Please pick up a consent form from Mrs. Clevenger. If you have signed up to volunteer make sure you are there to work during your shift. List of volunteers can be found outside the counselor's office.


There will be a meeting in the Library during lunch on Friday, Sept. 8th for any 9-12th grade students interested in participating in the HS Play.




HS Football will play at home Friday, Sept. 8th against Quinter with the game beginning at 6:00.


Varsity Tennis will travel to Pratt Friday, Sept. 8th leaving at 12:00 with the meet beginning at 8:00 on Saturday, Sept. 9th.


HS Volleyball will travel to Grainfield Saturday, Sept. 9th with games beginning at 8:00 leave TBA.


HS & JH Cross Country teams will travel to Leoti Saturday, Sept. 9th with the meet beginning at 9:00 a.m. the team will be leaving at 7:30.


JH Volleyball team will travel to Lakin Saturday, Sept. 9th with the games beginning at 8:00 a.m. leaving at 6:00.


Greely County Recreation will be offering Dance Classes by Michelle Schemm for ages 3-18 September through April on Thursday evenings TBA. This is for Ballet/Tap, Hip Hop/Jazz and there will be a recital in April sometime. Please text or call Michelle @ 206-499-1086 with any questions. You can pick-up an information sheet in the office.


HS Volleyball will play at home on Thursday, Sept. 14th beginning at 4:00 against Johnson and again at 5:15 against Syracuse. Please dismiss the team at 3:00.


Randy Nadler will be here on Wednesday, Sept. 13th with a presentation on Thailand. HS-JH Students presentation will begin at 12:30 and the Elementary’s will begin at 2:00 in the Auditorium.


There will be a Trap Club meeting in the Home Ec. Room on Thursday, Sept. 14th bring your sales envelopes, money and trays. Everything must be turned at this time.
