ANNOUNCEMENT

Sept. 11th, 2017

 

 Students: This is a reminder that the following students need to bring their 3 boxes of kleenix to the HS Office: Alexis Ibarra, Ivan Trejo, Kenia Hermosillo, Esteban Ugarte, Marisela Freques, Danny Knelsen, Taylor Lacher, Valentine Villalobos & Brenton Welsh. Thanks!

 

The Sophomore class will host “Kiss A Pig” contest homecoming week!!! There will be containers located in the HS office for all HS Teachers, Administrators, and the Stuco officers. Bring your loose change to cast a vote! The person with the most votes will kiss a pig during the Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 15th!!

 

Spirit Week: Monday-Color Explosion wear your favorite color, Tuesday-Zoo Day dress as your favorite zoo animal, Wednesday-Music Genre, Jammin’ to Beat the Pirates, Thursday: Teacher look alike day, Friday-Red & White Day!!!!

 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Cross-County team on their performances on Saturday. Girls did not have a team and the boys team finished in 4th place. Medalist include: Lauren Crotinger – 6th and Fabel Yanez – 12th. In the JH race: Kyra Nolan – 5th in the 8th grade division.

 

JV Tennis will travel to Garden City on Monday, Sept. 11th leaving at 5:30 a.m. and the meet will begin at 8:00.

 

Varsity Tennis will travel to Ellinwood on Tuesday, Sept. 12th. Please dismiss the girls at 8:51, leaving at 9:00 and the meet will begin at 2:00.

 

JH VB will travel to Sharon Springs Tuesday, Sept. 12th. Please at 2:15, leaving at 2:25 and the meet will begin at 4:00. They will play A, B & C games. The JH Boys will not have a football game that day due to low numbers on the Sharon Springs team.

 

HS Volleyball team will travel to St. Francis Tuesday, Sept. 12th. Please dismiss the team at 11:45, leaving at 12:00 and the game will begin at 3:00.

 

JH Stuco will meet in Mrs. Holly Steele’s classroom during lunch Wednesday, bring your trays.

 

Queen & King Candidates for Homecoming are: Hannah Brandl, Ebony Gutierrez, Arely Yanez, Evan Crotinger, Nathan Miller, & Ivan Trejo. Homecoming Representatives are: Freshmen-Manny Chavez & Kaylee Lockhart, Sophomores-Kamryn Youmans &Tayber Elder, Juniors-Autumn Vasquez & Jaly Yanez. Pictures for the newspaper will be taken Tuesday morning Sept. 12th at 7:45 in front of the Library. The Parade will be held on Friday, Sept. 15th students will begin lining up at 2:15ish and the Parade will start at 2:30.

 

Student’s the Homecoming sign-up sheet is in the HS office for out of school and out of town dates. All dates must be in High School, 19 years old or younger (JH students are not allowed to attend). All out of school dates will be checked to see if they are in good standing with their schools. The theme for homecoming will be Music Genres each HS class will have different genres.

 

Greely County Recreation will be offering Dance Classes by Michelle Schemm for ages 3-18 September through April on Thursday evenings TBA. This is for Ballet/Tap, Hip Hop/Jazz and there will be a recital in April sometime. Please text or call Michelle @ 206-499-1086 with any questions. You can pick-up an information sheet in the office.

 

Randy Nadler will be here on Wednesday, Sept. 13th with a presentation on Thailand. HS-JH Students presentation will begin at 12:30 and the Elementary will begin at 2:00 in the Auditorium.

 

HS Volleyball will play at home on Thursday, Sept. 14th beginning at 4:00 against Johnson and again at 5:15 against Syracuse. Please dismiss the team at 3:00.

 

There will be a class volleyball competition immediately following the HS Volleyball games Thursday, Sept. 14th. Then there will be a Bonfire and White Washing. Each class is responsible for bringing their own white wash!!!

 

There will be a Trap Club meeting in the Home Ec. Room on Thursday, Sept. 14th bring your sales envelopes, money and trays. Everything must be turned at this time.

 

School will be in session on Friday, Sept. 15th!!!!!!!

 

HS Football will play at home against Rolla Friday, Sept. 15th beginning at 6:00.

 

HS Students will check in with their 1st hour teachers on Friday, Sept. 15th before proceeding to the location that their float is being built. At that time teachers will need to take a head count of the students that will be returning to the school for lunch. HS Students will return to their 5th & 6th hour classes and be dismissed at 2:00 to get their floats lined up for the parade. The parade will begin at 2:30 followed with the Pep Rally downtown.

 

HS Homecoming dance will be held Saturday, Sept. 16th in the lunch room beginning at 9:00 p.m.

 

Varsity Tennis will travel to Scott City, Sept. 18th leaving at 6:15 and the meet will begin at 8:00.

 

 

LUNCH: Chicken Nuggets, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Dinner Roll, Pears, Salad Bar, Milk or Water. It’s a Great Day to be a Jackrabbit!!!
