Bio

I grew up in Greensburg Kansas. My father farmed and worked at Dillons. My Mom was a stay at home mom. I was fortunate enough to have Fraternal Grandparents living 2 blocks from the school. I spent many happy hours at their house waiting on my younger sister. My family lived 7 miles south of Greensburg (1/2 mile form the path of the “Big Tornado”). I was very involved in 4-H. My favorite project was gardening. I had pet dogs, cats, geese and chickens. I participated in school plays, track, basketball manager, and forensics.

After High School I attended Dodge City Community College.   I earned an Associate of Arts degree. I then went to Fort Hays State University. I completed the requirements for a field biology degree. Then decided I would like to be a teacher. I took the teaching block and classes required to teach physics, chemistry and computer science. In 1990 I accepted a job at Healy Kansas.

While at Hays I meet a wonderful girl, Lisa. Lisa is RN with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She was from Tribune, her family were custom harvesters. We were married, and continued to live in Hays until I was done with College. Her family enjoyed hunting pheasants with Labrador retrievers. I got bit hard by the hunting “bug”. I have enjoyed hunting ever since. More important I learned to love Labs. My wife and I have owned 8 labs so far.

We lived in Healy for 6 years. Lisa worked at Scott City Hospital. I meet a psychotic art teacher that taught me to fish. Lisa and I bought our first boat, and started fishing on our vacations. Tired of sleeping in a tent, we bought a pop up camper.

We move to Tribune in 1996. Lisa was glad to be home. I got a job teaching at the High School and She got a Job at the Greeley County Hospital. We have been there ever since. We meet a couple that love to go to the lake. Since then we have upgraded to a fifth wheel camper and a larger boat. Our favorite lakes include Cedar Bluff, Milford, and Texoma.

In 2000 we adopted Josh, he was 4 at the time. He shares our love for Dogs, Hunting, and Fishing.

Today we are happy living in Horace (a small community near Tribune). I am the Mayor of Horace. Josh is out of  high school. We have 2 labs Cale, Buck,, LuLu the poodle and Jordy the Parsons Russell Terrier.
