Subjects Taught
6th Grade Math, 7th Grade Math, 8th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra

I graduated from Russell High school in 2004 and Bethany College in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education K-6 with an endorsement in Special Education K-6.

I completed courses through Newman University to add my English as a Second Language endorsement in 2010.

I became licensed to teach Middle Level Math in 2011.

I am currently working on my Masters through Fort Hays State University.

This is my 10th year of teaching. I taught 7 years in Dodge City, Kansas. I taught 6th grade all subjects at Comanche Intermediate Center for 4 years. Then my school changed to a Middle School and I moved up to 7th Grade Math. I taught 7th and 8th Grade Math to 6th and 7th graders. I also was team leader for half of the 7th grade at Comanche Middle School.

I coached 8th grade volleyball at Comanche Middle school for 3 years and helped with the basketball intramural program for 2 years. I also coached softball at Spearville High School for 5 years.

I am currently teaching 6th-8th Math, Pre-Algebra, Problem Solving, and Study Hall.

I came to Tribune from Dodge City where I taught for 7 years. I grew up in Russell, Kansas where my parents still live. I am the proud aunt of 2 boys and 4 girls.  One set lives in Polson, Montana with my older brother, one set lives in Clearwater, Minnesota with my older sister, one neice lives in Tribune, and the other niece lives in Larmar, Colorado.

I enjoy playing volleyball, softball, or shooting hoops, shopping, reading, sleeping, playing games, and visiting family and friends. I also get a kick out of brainteasers and good jokes (especially Laffy Taffy jokes)!

My husband, Laran, is a farmer/rancher in Greeley County and basketball coach in Sharon Springs. We have one dog named Bubba.
